Anna is an American Bulldog and sadly there are now increasing numbers of these being bred and ending up in the pound as with the Staffies.
They are lovely dogs who love people but they are very strong and stubborn and very excitable and are not best suited for many homes. Most find themselves homeless before they are even a year old. Anna was dumped in the streets when she was under a year old and had already been bred from. She was skin and bone and absolutely terrified of everything and had to be carried as she was too scared to walk and had possibly never seen the outside world. Despite all of this she is a very loving, affectionate dog although she can still be nervous of strangers.
